गोपनीयता नीति
अंतिम अपडेट: [LAST_UPDATED_DATE]
यह नीति फ़िलहाल अंग्रेज़ी में उपलब्ध है। हिंदी संस्करण जल्द आ रहा है।
This Privacy Policy explains how [COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME] ("Yashoma", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the Yashoma mobile app and website (together, the "Services"). We are the Data Fiduciary for your personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
Information we collect
We collect only the data we need to run the Services:
- Information you give us: your mobile number (used to sign in), your name, and the pregnancy or baby-care details you choose to share (such as your stage of pregnancy or expected due date) so we can personalise your journey.
- Community content: messages and posts you share in community groups.
- Consultation details: bookings you make with doctors on our panel, and any notes a doctor records after your session.
- Usage information: which videos you watch and your progress in them, along with device and app-diagnostic information (device type, app version, general performance data).
- Payment information: when you buy a care pack or book a consultation, payment is processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We receive the payment status and a transaction reference — we do not collect or store your full card, UPI PIN, or bank credentials.
How we use your information
We use your personal data to:
- provide the Services, including personalised pregnancy and baby-care content in your language;
- enable doctor consultations, community groups, and payments;
- send you service messages and reminders (for example, a consultation reminder over WhatsApp);
- keep the Services safe — moderating community content and preventing misuse; and
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Consent and your choices
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, and for certain legitimate uses permitted by the DPDP Act (such as complying with the law). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time — the withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out, and withdrawing consent for essential data may mean we can no longer provide parts of the Services.
To withdraw consent, manage your data, or raise a concern, contact our Grievance Officer (details below) or write to support@yashoma.care.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the Services, with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — for example our hosting and database provider (data stored in India), our video provider, our payment partner (Razorpay), our messaging provider (WhatsApp) and our video-call provider for consultations;
- Doctors you choose to consult — they see the information needed to care for you during your session;
- Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our users and the public.
Children's data
The Services are intended for adults — expectant and new parents. Any information about a child (for example, your baby) is provided by you as the parent or guardian. In line with the DPDP Act, we do not knowingly process a child's personal data without verifiable parental consent, and we do not use it for tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.
Where your data is stored, and for how long
Your personal data is stored on servers located in India. We protect it with access controls and row-level security so that your data is accessible only to you and the people authorised to serve you.
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Subject to the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
- correct, complete, or update your personal data;
- erase your personal data where it is no longer needed;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to; and
- raise a grievance with us about how we handle your data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer below.
Grievance Officer
As required by the DPDP Act, you can contact our Grievance Officer about your personal data or a privacy concern:
- Name: [GRIEVANCE_OFFICER_NAME]
- Email: [GRIEVANCE_OFFICER_EMAIL]
- Address: [REGISTERED_ADDRESS]
We will acknowledge and respond to your grievance within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
