Foods to Give Your Child for Constipation — Whole Grains, Fibre & Fruits
Dr. Sandip Gupta
This video covers which food items can be given to children when they have constipation. Points covered in the video: Use whole grains instead of maida – in place of maida, use atta and make rotis from atta. If refined grain is being used, switch to whole grain. Oats – oats should be used as well, so that the child gets fibre. Fibre is the goal – these items are recommended specifically so the child gets enough fibre. Fruits – certain fruits should be given to the child, which help in making the child's stool soft. Relevant for: parents whose child has constipation, hard stools or difficulty passing motion; parents asking which foods help relieve constipation in children; parents wanting to know about fibre-rich foods, whole wheat atta roti, oats and fruits for kids; and parents looking to make their child's stool softer through diet.
