Body Parts Parents Forget to Clean While Bathing a Baby
Dr. Sandip Gupta
While bathing children, parents often forget to clean certain spots, and because of that dirt (mail) collects there, which can lead to a fungal or bacterial infection. Spots covered in the video: Behind the child's ears The creases of the hands — a baby's hands are always closed, so dirt collects in the hand creases Between the toenails of the feet The back of the neck The front area between the chin and the neck Inside the navel, where quite a lot of dirt collects Cleaning all these spots with water is very important. Relevant for: parents bathing a newborn or small baby and wanting to know which areas get missed; parents who notice dirt, smell, redness or rash behind the ears, in the neck folds, in the hand creases or in the navel; parents worried about fungal or bacterial infection in a baby's skin folds; and parents looking for a complete baby bathing checklist.
